Fantastic product. I got the stainless steel clips knowing that the product would be needed for more than 1 storm. We never used them before and have about 20 windows and double doors on our first story. It took about 3 hrs to cut the plywood, 20 min to put up and about 10 min to take down. Now that we are familiar with the product there is no reason to debate boarding up or not! Super simple and very high quality. The ease of use exceeded my expectations.

It has taken some time to get around to writing this. I would search elsewhere for hurricane clips. My experience was not good with this company. I ordered 1/2" stainless steel hurricane clips and chose 2 day delivery (paid a pretty penny for it too) as it was listed as an option (if it wasn't available you would think it would not be an option).

I didn't get them in 2 days, leaving me to scramble to find an alternative for an incoming hurricane at the last minute. When I finally received them, 3 days AFTER the hurricane, they weren't even what I ordered. And to boot, they charged me for stainless steel but sent me carbon steel. I called the number listed on the invoice sticker and they were not inclined to help in any way with this issue, From the shipping to what I was charged for but did not receive.

It seems this company has an "Oh Well" approach to their mistakes. Buyer beware! Invoice in picture to show you sticker they put on it showing it was substituted and yet charged for higher quality item and then laughably, they never got there in the 2 days I paid almost $40 for. And had no desire to correct their mistakes. Shame on this company.

I can rate that the service and delivery were quick and reasonably priced. I can't accurately rate the Plylox clips use because fortunately I have not had to use them "yet" to cover my windows with plywood due to hurricane season. I ordered them to be hurricane prepared. They did not come with instructions however will have to rely on youtube to find how.

I've used these threw numerous storms they are great. I just survived Hurricane Michael with winds up to a 150 mph before the wind gage broke. They saved my house. Don't be stupid like some of the people I read about in the reviews and wait till the last minute to order them. It's better to have them and not need them then need them and not have them. Think about your family and order them now. Thank you Plylox.

My neighbor gave me a bag of these a day before Irma hit. I had 3 windows protected in about 15 minutes and these were big windows doing it by myself. Also used the rest of the clips and protected ALL of the windows in my house. I cannot thank my neighbor or this company enough. They work the way they should and won't wreck your house when you take them down. Ordering a bag to give back to my neighbor, an extra bag for me and a couple of bags for someone who needs them like I did.

My sister had an extra bag and I have old windows on a block home, and this held up great through Irma, we are buying more to stock up for the next one. We measured the plywood and cut everything to size easy install and removal. We had a limited amount of clips and odd sized windows and limited plywood. but they held great

Ordered clips Tuesday morning at 8am prior to Irma and payed for expedited shipping, tracking shows package was not turned over to UPS until 7pm on a Wednesday which resulted in me not receiving them in time for the storm. Actually i still haven't received them, but that manner is UPS fault. non responsive to phone calls and no way to initiate a return on their online store.

Ordered item for 2 day air early in the morning on Tuesday in order to prepare for hurricane Irma. Package actually shipped on Thursday and when I got the tracking #, it showed that the package was send to someone else in a completely different city. No one answers the phone, no one responses to email, no one responses on facebook within the company.

None of the local hardware stores carry their product anymore, so no where to get those plylox clips. I spend hundreds of dollars on plywood, cut them up just for the clip, only to find out the clip is nowhere to be found. I have to now join two plywoods to cover just one window with concrete bolts. Probably should have done so from the beginning instead of placing so much hope on a totally unreliable company. Maybe this company should not be in business making hurricane products for people who needs them to save their lives. Filing credit card dispute right now.

We have used Plylox clips through all the tropical cyclone threats to the Greater Houston/Galveston area since the 1990's, without any failures. We are located in the coastal county of Galveston. Being disabled, using this easy tool to board up our windows has been a real blessing. The brick house has over 20 windows of different sizes, but with a little help, we can complete boarding up in no time.

We even use them to cover our doors, both if we leave, using Plylox. I have seen some complaints about late orders, and have to say one thing about that. Order them during the preseason, not when the storm is threatening; BE PROACTIVE! NOT JUST REACTIVE!

Ordered these clips 7 days prior to a storm coming in. Spent for priority (3day) shipping, plenty of time to prepare. They held the order for a 1 1/2 days, then shipped at the end of the second day, putting the delivery into the weekend. 7 days later (and after the storm) they arrive. In the meantime, the numerous.numerous emails and phone calls have gone unanswered.

The phone number they provide is useless, they won't answer it. My home was left unprotected because the items I spent $ on to protect them was tied up in their product, which they couldn't fulfill as expected. Tip for Plylox: if you can't fulfill an order and deliver, don't accept the order. Answer the phone so customers can find out about their order and cancel it to prepare elsewhere.

Some will say don't listen to those who wait until a storm is noticed; however, plylox should not accept orders they can't fulfill. If they accept the order, make good on it. Wasted money. Now, about the product, they won't work if you don't have enough clearance on the brick reaching back to the window frame. If you have updated windows that cover a portion of one whole brick, they don't work. They won't catch, there's not enough there to catch the clip.

These are the way to go for boarding up a brick house. They are super easy to install and remove. They held up and stayed in place through Hurricane Irma on the Georgia coast. If you want to buy peace of mind before the next storm, buy these and have your plywood measured and cut. Install takes very little time.
