Pittsburgh Window & Door Co. is a family owned and operated business that has been serving the homeowners and businesses of greater Pittsburgh since 1956. Founded by Tom Conroy Sr., the company manufactured and installed storm doors, storm windows and aluminum awnings. As the popularity of replacement windows and doors began to grow, the company expanded into this aspect of the market as well. More than sixty years later, as we move into our third generation of ownership, we continue to specialize in window and door replacement.

We can fix it. We offer in-home repair services plus same-day service on most Tuesdays and Fridays in our shop. Same-day service requires a call into the office to set up an appointment for in-shop services. In-Home requires an appointment as well. Both can be done by calling 412-821-4322 or 724-452-5900. We have a full-service screen shop that can repair or replace your bent, damaged, or torn screens.

This company exceeded my expectations from the at -home consultation to the seamless installation (including clean-up). Never any pressure to buy. I wish there were more family-owned businesses like this one who offer their exceptional products along with the most professional service. Pricing was great, especially for custom design! I'm so happy with my new doors and window!

I used Pittsburgh Window & Door for a second round of replacement windows after a bad experience with another company with lower prices. PWD's prices were reasonable, measurements were accurate, and their installation was professional, they cleaned up after themselves and the Simonton windows seem to be of better quality that the ones WW installed previously.
The other company (WW) mismeasured one of the window openings, which they didn't discover until removing the window that was already in place, and left their trash all over the outside of my house. I highly recommend Pittsburgh Window & Door if you're looking for quality replacement windows at an economical price and hassle-free experience.

This business is AMAZING. The owner Tom came and discussed options. As with his uncle Jim there is never any pressure to buy. They allow you to make the decision without those annoying sales calls. In October 2020, my husband and I ordered a steel door, storm door, and two sets of large patio doors from Pittsburgh Window & Door Co. The brand was ProVia, which is my preferred brand for energy efficiency and security. The estimate was reasonable, so I signed a contract to purchase the doors. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ProVia factory was very slow in manufacturing my doors, so the installation did not occur until May 2021, but that delay was NOT Pittsburgh Window & Door Co.'s fault.
On the day of installation, four workers arrived in the morning and left in the afternoon. They were very courteous and professional, and they were highly skilled at installing the doors. When they were done, they thoroughly explained the features of the doors and how to use them. I absolutely love my new doors, and I plan to purchase more doors as well as windows from Pittsburgh Window & Door Co. in the future. I even convinced my friend to purchase a patio door from this company, and my next-door neighbor already was a customer as well.

Tom was an absolute professional throughout the process. He clearly presented options, made recommendations, and set the proper expectations on the timing. The installation went great, but I had a small issue with alignment that couldn't have been caught during the initial install and Tom came out and fixed that for me in an expedient manner. It was difficult to find a round top storm door but Pittsburgh Window and Door came through.

I love my new storm door. It was very expensive for the custom round top and took almost six months from order to installation but now that it's done, we've been very happy! One tip is that if you want the UV glass, make sure you specify it on the order. We did not and missed out. The company was very pleasant and friendly during the whole process. We'd definitely use again.

I couldn't be happier with the experience, quality, price, and result! We needed a new sliding patio door and front window since they were original with the house (1960s). Tom was great to work with! Him and Scott did an awesome job with installation, cleaned up after themselves, and did it quicker than I expected. Had to wait a little bit for installation because they were so busy but definitely worth the wait!
