Services
The depth of our experience along with our extensive parts inventory and large fleet of equipment, often enable us to complete repairs faster than our competition. This results in less downtime for our customers and therefore reduces the hidden costs of work disruption when door and dock equipment is out of service.
Traditional Steel garage doors deliver the Overhead Door brand's legendary performance and durability at our most affordable price. These garage doors are available with classic raised panels, wainscot inspired design or contemporary long panels. Two coats of baked-on polyester paint provide a low-maintenance finish that looks great, year after year.
Overhead Door Company of Baltimore has been family managed for over 52 years. This family atmosphere has allowed us to retain the most experienced sales, installation and service personnel. Many of our dedicated employees have been with us for over 30 years. This experience greatly benefits our customers through smoother installations and faster (therefore, less costly) service.

The technician from the Overhead Door Company helpEd me for the third time in several years. As in the previous visits, the work was completed quickly and at minimal cost. What was very different this time, however, was his ability to diagnose the problem with my neighbor's garage door. He heard the noise my neighbor's door was making as it was being closed.
The technician knocked on his door, explained what the problem was, and gave him a partial bottle of lubricant to fix it. Of course my neighbor was delighted. I think I know who he will call next time he has a problem with his garage door!

In the1995 - 1996 time period I paid a hefty price for 3 large Overhead doors to be installed on the newly renovated and improved barn upgrade and addition. With 2 years the smallest door started falling apart and when I phoned in to report the problem, this company was going to charge me to come back out and then charge me even more to render repairs on apparantly is just a virtual bye bye warranty.
Now that we are selling the farm I had them come back out to service the doors and replace the defective electric eyes (sensors), make new rmotes for the new owners and such but I was advised they are no longer manufactured and not available. Hence they still charged me $275 to basically spray some lubrication, play with the first doors eyes, and show up. Needless to say all my experiences with this company have been nothing short of negative.
I would not recommend them for any jobs of any type as the materials they use are inferior and the workmanship is sh_ _ _ _ y at best. The adage of caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) strongly applies but I hereby attest a smarter person will never even make a call to this company. Good luck in finding the right supplier for your door needs but please know that this is not the company for you and that I can promise you.

They try and charge you for way more hours then they actually worked and hope you do not notice. They also charge.75 hrs for travel time and do not inform you of this before they come out. Would not recommend. Way over priced. Will not be using this company again. Worker was here from 10:30-12:15 and tried to charge me for 3.5 hours. Management took off.5 hours to help but they still way overcharged me.

As a company owner I was in an emergency situation for a door repair. Overhead Door of Baltimore was able to not only repair the door very late in the work day but also finished the job in quick time. I cannot say enough about how easy the process was from start to finish. The technicians Tim and Matt were excellent!

I used this company in Atlanta and had perfect service. Same here. They came out same day and delivered a new spring that was not common next day. These services are not cheap but I was happy with how pro the operation is. I would call them again when I need service in Annapolis The tech was experienced and worked quickly

Good customer service, and good work. We are very pleased with the service we received. Ron, our technician, was competent, skilled, prompt, polite, and professional. Steve, the office manager, kept us up to date on our order and gave us a fair price. We couldn't be more pleased with this experience. Highly recommended.

The issue is that the company did not provide any quote beforehand, including the labor cost ($98) and the charge for the distance from the company (within 30 minutes drive; $20 something). I read one reviewer somewhere saying the same thing, so there seems like a pattern of not providing any estimates beforehand especially if an unsuspecting customer does not ask for it.
The job was supposed to be really simple, and the worker (who was nice) mostly did the basic maintenance work and told us some tips of garage maintenance, and not the issue we had a problem with (which was about the top cover of the garage wall control). We didn't understand why he was doing the work we did not really ask for. The worker basically said the cover is no longer available to replace it.
In the end, it all took no more than 10-15 minutes. At the end of his work, we were suddenly presented with $150! We complained to the management who was defensive, and at the end, a supervisor lowered it to $100. We did not even get a receipt. If we had known it would cost this much for such a simple issue, we would not have asked for their service. If you can, avoid this company.

Unfortunately I had deal with this company for an existing garage door on my house. I could not get people to return my call(s) after sending pictures of the damage and stressing the fact that I live in a HOA community and needed the repairs completed immediately. So the verbal quote I got over the phone included fee for gas because I lived in Harford County.
I never received a call back and garage repairmen wouldn't/couldn't work on the garage door because Overhead Door only services and sells parts exclusively. Long story short is that I just bought a new garage door instead of replacing two panels from Overhead Garage Door Company. It was unfortunate that it came to this because the people were friendly every time I called but my issue with my garage didn't seem to be a priority for them unfortunately and that's why I would never use this company again for any garage solutions.

They installed my garage doors (at my home) years ago so I called them when I had a problem last week. Said they would come by this morning between 8-9AM. Had not heard anything by 8:30AM. Called and was told I was now their 2nd appt for the day and that the repair guy would get here when he could. No apologies or regrets. I could not stay indefinitely here all day. I called and cancelled. Again, no apologies or regrets. I do not recommend them for service.

I called for an estimate because my friend had an overhead door installed by the Overhead door co. of DC. I figured they would be the same as the Overhead co. Of Baltimore, however I found them to be rude. I asked for an estimate, here is the response. "Unfortunately, coiling door motor operators are not UL approved for residential use and therefore we would be assuming liability if something were to happen.
For that reason our ownership group has chosen not sell such doors/operators to individuals. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Perhaps another door company will be willing to help you. Good luck!"

My experience with this company was very bad. While they replaced the spring on my door, they proceeded to charge me 1.25 hours travel time to drive to my location on top of the hour they took to replace my spring. In addition to a $9 fuel surcharge. This was not disclosed when we originally called them to make the appointment, but only after they had completed the work and presented us with the invoice.
I find this to be outrageous but to not inform the consumer beforehand, I felt they have heard out comments before and the way to deal with it is not tell the customers until it is too late. My recommendation is to find a more reputable company to do your work.

I was out of town when my wife had to call someone to fix a broken spring in the garage. I was glad she was able to get the spring fixed but to my surprise at what cost. She was charged 1.25 hours for travel time from Baltimore. If she had known this was the case, we would not have had your company work on our door. Then add on the top of that a fuel surcharge of $9. Outrageous to charge for travel time.
I can understand if she had called and you came out and did nothing, this makes more sense. I could even lived with the fuel surcharge. I wish you had informed us this was your practice when the call was originally made. Please take your business elsewhere if your looking for a reputable company.

A company full of liars. Lied about the initial "deposit" which was actually payment for a service call to have the serviceman come out and state the obvious (our torsion spring was broken. Pretty easy to figure that one out.) After the repair was completed, the "deposit" was not applied. Called the following day to inquire about that and the guy I spoke to said that the $47 is 'factored in" to the final cost of the bill.
He saw that OUR $47 was not factored in, but he could not approve the credit. Transferred to Service Manager who basically said that whatever I was told by the first serviceman or by the person on the phone was "my word against theirs". Whatever happened to "the customer is always right?" In dealing with overhead doors I would settle for the assumption that the customer is NOT a liar.
Service manager would not provide me with his supervisors # because he said it was the owner and he didn't feel that my problem was worthy of bothering the owner with it. He said he would discuss it with another service manager and get back to me. He called me back and said he discussed it with another service manager and "ran it by the owner" (I thought it was not worthy of the owners attention?" and they believe that they did not do anything wrong and they would not refund even a portion of the $47 deposit.
Company deal with commercial businesses, so Harry Homeowner takes a back seat when it comes to Customer Service. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN, AND I WILL POST THESE REVIEWS AND DISCOURAGE OTHERS FROM USING THEM EVERY CHANCE I GET.
