Doug initially responded to my outreach and seemed to be genuinely interested in helping me. He committed to fixing my screen door on a specific day, but never showed up. I tried multiple times to reach him via text and phone, but he never responded back. He totally blew me off and now I need to find someone else after weeks of trying. Poor follow up.

Deciding who to hire for home projects is sometimes difficult. I needed someone to repair and replace wood window screens and frames on a bungalow near downtown San Jose. Doug at DK Screens came out and gave me a bid and told me what to expect. The work was completed within two weeks. I was extremely happy with the quality and craftsmanship. I recommended that Doug get listed in Yelp so that others can find out how great he is. I needed a number of screens replaced, repaired or secured. Doug walked around the house with me determining what was needed. My screens now look great and I feel relieved that they will all stay in place once the winds pick up in the winter. Confident in his skills, I further asked Doug to replace some window frames that had fallen apart after a previous window repairman's work had failed after about 4 years. Other than me buying the paint, Doug took care of building, priming, painting and installing the frames. I highly recommend him.
